Report clears up where Lions WR Kenny Golladay really was on Saturday

Following the Detroit Lions 41-21 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, a rumor surfaced from Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports that Kenny Golladay was not at the team facility on Saturday and that “things have been tense between him and the organization for quite some time because he is brooding over not getting a new deal.”

It may have taken a while, but Kyle Meinke of MLive is reporting that La Canfora’s report is false, saying that Golladay was at the team facility on Saturday.

“So, it’s worth pointing out Golladay was at the Lions’ Allen Park training facility on Saturday, has not missed a meeting and remains in good standing with the team according to multiple sources. He was also spotted by MLive at the Chick-Fil-A that is near the facility on Saturday, for whatever that’s worth.

CBS reported Golladay was MIA on Saturday and the team had to go looking for him. That is not true, according to the sources. He does want a new contract, but while he and the Lions have not been able to come to an accord on that front, Golladay continues to take care of all his business on and off the field.”

It is worth noting that La Canfora did not say Golladay was not at the team facility at all on Saturday but that he was not there when he was supposed to be.

That being said, Golladay was at the facility at some point on Saturday and not missing in action like the original rumor insinuated.
