According to a report out of Loyola Marymount, the Detroit Tigers have signed INF/OF Trevin Esquerra.

Loyola Marymount University starter Trevin Esquerra has been signed by the Detroit Tigers following the conclusion of the 2020 Major League Baseball Draft.
Esquerra led LMU in 2020 with three home runs, 11 RBI, 16 runs scored, and a .492 slugging percentage, starting all 16 games for the Lions. Equerra is tied for the West Coast Conference lead in walks with 14, leading to his team-best 31 total bases.
He had six multi-hit games and three multi-RBI contest this spring, and tied the NCAA record for at-bats with 11 at UC Davis on 2/28.
Over his four-year career, Esquerra finishes with 157 hits, 27 home runs, and 101 RBI, having started 141 of 167 games. He had started 2020 with no errors, bringing his career fielding percentage to .993. Esquerra started every game of 2019 to help LMU claim the WCC Title and return to the NCAA Regionals for the first time since 2000.
