As the Major League Baseball trade deadline approaches, there has been no shortage of rumors and reports involving Nicholas Castellanos, Shane Greene, and Matthew Boyd.
All three of those Detroit Tigers are reportedly square on the trading block, but according to Jon Morosi, there is a surprise Tiger who could emerge as a trade candidate in the coming days.
Morosi said on Tuesday night that Tigers relief pitcher Buck Farmer, who is having a career year, could draw some interest as the deadline approaches.
Buck Farmer could emerge as a trade candidate in the coming days. The #Tigers have little incentive to move him, but he retired the #Phillies in order tonight (including strikeouts of Kingery and Hoskins) and is having the best season of his career. @MLB @MLBNetwork

Though Farmer has not been as dominant as Greene, he has posted a 3.89 ERA in 43 games while striking out over 10 batters per nine.
