UPDATE:
According to reports, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft had a “temper tantrum” and was very upset when Tom Brady left the Patriots out of his retirement announcement.

PREVIOUS REPORT:
On Tuesday morning, Tom Brady took to Instagram and released a lengthy statement to announce that he is retiring from the NFL.
In his announcement, Brady thanked a ton of people, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buccaneers fans, the Glazer family, Bucs GM Jason Licht, HC coach Bruce Arians, and his other coaches in Tampa Bay. He even made sure to thank “every single Bucs staffer and employee.”
But in his announcement, Brady did not mention the New England Patriots a single time.
Now, Brady is very calculated, which means he purposely did not mention the Patriots or even the fans.
Maybe Brady will release a separate statement to thank the Patriots and the fans in New England (I think he will) but for now, it sure does seem like he purposely snubbed them.
