Whether or not you approved of Jim Leyland as manager of the Detroit Tigers, you cannot argue his vast experience and knowledge of the game of baseball.
At 9 p.m. on Tuesday, the MLB Network is airing a special called, “Jim Leyland: A Life in Baseball.” The show will feature Bob Costas sitting down with Leyland to discuss his 22 years as a manager in Major League Baseball.

From Detroit Free Press:
He managed the Tigers to two American League pennants and three AL Central division titles in his eight years with the team, beginning in 2006. He retired after the 2013 season and was replaced by Brad Ausmus.
Featured on the show is an interview with all-time great Barry Bonds, who played under Leyland early in his career. Bonds, who had a widely known argument with Leyland in spring training in 1991, said: “I would run through a brick wall for that man back then and I still would today.”
