Casey Mize was not perfect on Wednesday night for the Detroit Tigers, but he sure did show flashes of brilliance in his Major League debut against the Chicago White Sox.
In fact, Mize posted seven strikeouts without walking a single White Sox batter in 4.1 innings of work.
According to the stat masters, this is the first time in Tigers history that a pitcher has posted 7+ strikeouts while not walking a batter.

Though Mize did not pick up a win in his debut, his final line (4.1 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 7K, 0 BB) was not too shabby.
