Dan Campbell is happy about the Lions not having any primetime games

Prior to Saturday’s rookie minicamp practice, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell spoke to the media and when asked about his team not having a single primetime game, Campbell had the perfect response.

“It’s awesome,” Campbell told reporters.

According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, Campbell noted that he likes 1 pm games so you’re not sitting around in the hotel all day, can knock them out.

As it stands, every single game on the Lions 2022 regular season schedule begins at 1:00 p.m. ET, other than their Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Buffalo Bills, which will kick off at 12:35 p.m. ET.

Campbell did note that there is still a chance that they have a game flexed to primetime.
