Detroit Pistons C Andre Drummond discusses free agency, focus is on the present

Detroit Pistons center Andre Drummond is only player in NBA history with four seasons of 1,000 points, 1,000 rebounds, 100 steals and 100 blocks.

He also has player-option for next season worth $28.8 million, and should he decline, he would become an unrestricted free-agent.

While playing a game of HORSE at the Pistons new practice facility with NBA reporter Eric Woodyard, he was asked about the business side of his contract and how he was approaching the potential upcoming free-agency.

Here's what he had to say:

“Honestly, it's been crazy. It's been really crazy to think about,” he explained. “But my main focus right now is to win games. When it's time to cross that bridge, I'll cross that bridge. As of now, I'm just trying to win as many games as I can while I'm here, and just let the rest take care of itself.”

“While I'm here” probably isn't music to the ears of fans who want to see Drummond remain a Piston beyond this year.

And for good measure, Drummond once again reiterated his believe that he's the GOAT when it comes to rebounding.

“I won’t compare myself to anybody when it comes to rebounding,” he said. “In my mind, I’m the best ever.
