Doomsday Report: 5 potential replacements for P.J. Fleck

TIM DREVNO – Offensive Coordinator, Michigan

Unlike their in-state brethren to the north, the entire University of Michigan staff seem like ideal candidates for head coaching positions. This time around, Tim Drevno is the focus.

Group of Five teams generally lack the personnel capable of running an offense akin to Alabama, LSU, Michigan, or Washington. Drevno is a whole different breed of animal, however. Drevno has been along side Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh dating back to 2009 when Harbaugh was the head man at Stanford. While the personnel may be a hurdle, having an offensive mind who's attention is squarely on the offensive line could bring the Broncos a strong advantage. Western Michigan have had great play-makers in the past and it seems likely recruiting will be easier than it has been in the past with the path P.J. Fleck has paved.

Drevno is not the type of offensive coach one would expect to helm a Group of Five team, but his strong experience and ability to carry the Harbaugh brand of offense could pay dividends for WMU.
