Former Michigan Wolverines head coach Rich Rodriguez has landed a new gig. He’s taken the offensive coordinator position at Louisiana-Monroe under head coach Terry Bowden, whose brother Terry originally hired Rodriguez as his offensive coordinator at Tulane.
Rodriguez has also served as head coach at West Virginia and Arizona. His son Rhett Rodriguez will be accompanying him as a graduate transfer.
He most recently served as offensive coordinator for Ole Miss, and was not retained upon the hiring of new head coach Lane Kiffen.
He’s known locally for compiling a 15-22 record during his time in Ann Arbor before being dismissed. Upon taking the job in Arizona, he led the Wildcats to 26 wins in his first three years.
