The 1996-97 Detroit Red Wings captured the attention and hearts of the entire city as they brought home the Stanley Cup for the first time in 42 years.
And it was quite the celebration afterwards, drawing over one million people to downtown for the championship parade.
Forward Kris Draper, who was an instrumental part of all four Cup wins, reminisced about the legendary downtown celebration following the initial win in 1997 with Fox Sports Detroit host Trevor Thompson:
