Where will Jim Harbaugh coach in 2022? Michigan? Miami Dolphins? Minnesota Vikings?
At this point, those seem to be the three likeliest options for Harbaugh but nobody seems to have much of an idea about what the Wolverines head coach will ultimately decide.
Well, maybe Harbaugh’s brother John Harbaugh, who is the head coach of the Baltimore Ravens, is aware of his brother’s intentions and he may have inadvertently given them away while speaking to reporters on Monday.
When John was asked about how Jim was handling losing (Michigan’s defensive coordinator) Mike Macdonald back to the Ravens, he said that his brother was “great about it.” But John went a little further with his answer to say that his brother is currently “looking for a defensive coordinator.”
“He said, ‘Sure, no problem.’ He was great about it. And now Jim’s looking for a defensive coordinator, and I’m sure he’ll find a great one.”
Now, it has been well-reported (probably OVER-reported) that Jim has continued to do his job at Michigan, and finding a new defensive coordinator for the Wolverines is certainly still part of that job description.
Or, maybe John knows which way his brother is leaning.
You be the judge.
John Harbaugh on Jim Harbaugh handling Mike Macdonald being hired by Ravens: "He said, 'Sure, no problem.' He was great about it. And now Jim's looking for a defensive coordinator, and I'm sure he'll find a great one."
