Following Sunday’s loss to the Vikings, Detroit Lions head coach Darrell Bevell told the media that Matthew Stafford gave a ‘stirring’ speech to his teammates on Saturday night.
When it was Stafford’s turn to talk to the beat writers, he explained what he said.
“We’re lucky to get to do what we do. We’re a part of history. We’re a part of this group of people that gets to call themselves NFL players or coaches or whatever it is, and that’s a huge responsibility. Just wanted those guys to know that I feel like every time I come to work, I bear that responsibility. I want to hold up my end of the bargain.”

i can’t believe thay would let Stafford go I AM 65 AND IN MY LIFETIME i never seen a better qb than stafford i remember all the QB they went through to fine him guy who could not complete a pass due to a bad arm or bad line yes get a young guy make him set for a couple years that’s the way they use to do it
