What a difference a year makes. Just 12 months ago, Cade McNamara was in the process of leading the Michigan Wolverines to a Big Ten Championship, and the school’s first berth in the College Football Playoff. Fast forward to the present and McNamara, who suffered an injury earlier in the season, is laying in a hospital bed. Earlier on Wednesday, McNamara took to Instagram to post a photo of himself in a hospital bed.
What did Cade McNamara Post to Instagram?
Earlier today, McNamara took to Instagram and posted a photo pretty much confirming the speculation that he needs surgery.
Here is the photo that McNamara posted, along with the caption: “Here we go!”
When did Cade McNamara get hurt?
Prior to the start of the 2022 season, Cade McNamara was in a battle with J.J. McCarthy for the Wolverines’ QB 1 position, and it was McCarthy who easily won the job.
Though McCarthy was QB 1, it still seemed like Jim Harbaugh’s game plan was to still work McNamara into the game when he felt the time was right. Unfortunately, on September 17, McNamara was shut down after he sustained a significant leg injury during the first half of the Wolverines’ 59-0 win over UConn, and he has not played since.
