Senior Cassius Winston had himself a great game, scoring 32 points in the Spartans’ 4th straight victory over the Wolverines, who will once again meet in early February – this time in Ann Arbor. He scored or assisted on 3/4ths of Michigan State’s baskets while shooting 11-for-19 with nine assists.
Junior forward Xavier Tillman scored 20 points, while Aaron Henry and Gabe Brown each put up six. The Wolverines were led by Jon Teske 15 points, while Zavier Simpson scored 14, Brandon Johns Jr. scored 12, and Franz Wagner put up 10.
Of course, Michigan wasn’t helped by the absence of Isaiah Livers, who missed his second straight game with an injury.
