Earlier today, news broke that 97.1 The Ticket that long-time Valenti Show producer Mike Sullivan were parting ways, with Sully's last day on the show coming on July 31.
During Thursday's show, Sully said he has loved his time at 97.1 but it is time for him to move on to the next chapter in his life. Mike Valenti made it clear that this move is 100% Sully's decision and it is not him being fired.
Here are some of the highlights of what Sullivan had to say during the first segment of Thursday's show.
-He is very emotional and though this is the cliche of bittersweet at its finest, he is immensely grateful to everyone at 97.1 The Ticket.
-Sully, who started at 97.1 as an intern when he was 19, added that though this move is not easy, it is easy and it is the right move and it is time to try and build something and take a risk.
-Sully noted that whether you love him or hate him, he has nothing but respect and appreciation for the listeners.
-Finally, Sullivan said that it has been an incredible ride but all good things must come to an end.
