1. 2004: Roy Williams, WR, Texas

The 2004 draft class was another terrible year of drafting by the Lions front office and provided the team very little improvement. A few names you might recognize along with Roy Williams are Kevin Jones and Teddy Lehman.

The No. 7 overall pick Williams gets the nod here because he had some productive years in a Lions uniform, and got us a first-round pick in a trade with Dallas, which we would use to then draft Brandon Pettigrew.

While with the Lions, Williams caught 262 passes for 3,884 yards and 29 touchdowns. Williams spent three season with Dallas and then one season with the Bears and hasn’t played in the NFL since 2011.
