So answer me this. Why do we keep bringing Janik up when you have previously let us know that both Kolosov and Pyett are out of minor league options and basically need some looks at the NHL level. Things like this just don’t make sense to me. Yes, Janik doesn’t make mistakes and wont impress you…he’s basically invisible. But wouldnt it make more sense to move Kolosov up at least hes a stay at home penalty killing defenseman much like Stuey. Is that just a crazy idea. Am I stupid or something. Why bring the 30 year old who went o points and a minus 2 in 8 games ALREADY this year.

No, it’s not a crazy idea at all, and you’re not stupid for thinking that. I think what they like about bringing up Janik for one game or whatever he’ll be up for (no one knows exactly how long Stuey will be out) is that you know what you’re gonna get. He’s not going to try to do it himself and cost you the game. He’s basically there filling out a spot in the lineup.

With Kolosov or Pyett, who have never played at the NHL level (although Kolosov has played in the Olympics), they might panic and make a mistake that costs a game. The Wings will wait to get their looks at them in next year’s preseason and training camp.
