2015 was another exciting year if you are a fan of Detroit sports. Though the Pistons, Lions, Red Wings, and Tigers failed to bring home a championship, they definitely provided us with some exciting moments.
As we look forward to 2016 we have high hopes for our teams and the next championship for the city of Detroit may be right around the corner. Could it be the Red Wings with the up and coming Dylan Larkin? What about the Tigers who went out and signed Jordan Zimmermann to help out the rotation? Will the Pistons shock the world in the NBA Playoffs? Dare I say it, could the Lions regroup after a dreadful 2015 season and contend for the Playoff in 2016?
Time will tell the answers to those questions, but in the meantime, here are 10 bold Detroit sports predictions for 2016.
[tps_title]#10 – Calvin Johnson will be traded[/tps_title]
The talk of trading Calvin Johnson is a very touchy subject with Lions’ fans. On one hand you have those who think it would be absolutely crazy to part ways with one of the best wide receivers in NFL history while others believe that Johnson is just a shell of his former self and is not worth what the Lions would have to pay him to stay.
Regardless of your stance, Johnson will not be with the Lions in 2016 and it will pay off in the long run.
