The Detroit Lions picked up a huge division road victory last weekend in Minnesota to get back over the .500 mark on the season. They entered the game better than touchdown underdogs, but that did not seem to phase the majority of our staff from picking the Lions against the spread.
Overall though, it was a pretty lackluster week across the board, a week that featured our second tie of the season and editor Don Drysdale basically holding serve for one more week.
On to Week 10 we go, where the Lions are one of four teams (along with Buffalo, Indianapolis and Oakland) that have a bye this week and are off the board. That still leaves 14 games for yours truly (not likely) and the DSN staff (more likely) to chase down Mr. Drysdale. Ten of the 14 games on the slate have spreads of a field goal or smaller.
