Adam Oates being brought in for three days to help Red Wings

The Detroit Red Wings have brought in former Washington Capitals coach Adam Oates to work with their team for the next three days.  Oates recently started up his own business in the off-season as a skills coach, picking up clients such as Steven Stamkos and Zach Parise.

It is speculated that he will be there to help the Red Wings’ struggling power play, which is currently ranked 18th in the NHL, after being number one last year.  This is a move that shows that Jeff Blashill is not afraid to learn from others and adapt his coaching style.

Let’s hope he can help the power play get back on track!
