Branch was injured in the fourth quarter. Tough loss for Detroit defensive backfield.
Branch went down late in Detroit’s 44–30 win over the Cowboys after a key defensive stand. He attempted to walk off but struggled to put any weight on his leg before being carted to the locker room, an immediate sign the injury was serious.

Dan Campbell didn’t offer much optimism after the game.
“Yeah, I mean, he didn’t finish the game. But there again, I’ll know more tomorrow,” Campbell said.
Fowler’s report confirmed the team’s worst fears.
Branch has been one of Detroit’s most valuable defenders, playing everywhere from safety to slot corner to hybrid linebacker. His instincts, versatility, and leadership cannot be replicated, making this a major blow as the Lions fight for a playoff berth.
Detroit now turns its focus to Week 15 against Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams, but they’ll be doing it without one of the pillars of their defense.
