Caldwell-Pope, Bullock to miss tonight’s game vs. Magic with illness

Talk about poor timing.

In the midst of his best offensive stretch of the season, Detroit Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has been ruled out of Wednesday’s contest against the Orlando Magic.

Caldwell-Pope, averaging close to 20 points over his last seven games, will be joined on the sidelines by reserve Reggie Bullock, as both are listed out due to illness.

The East/West Finals MVP is the worst idea the NBA has had in a decade

That means an increased opportunity for the Pistons’ rookie duo of Darrun Hilliard and Stanley Johnson, the latter of whom may replace Caldwell-Pope in the starting line-up.

Chasing their first playoff appearance since 2009, the Pistons (37-34) are set to host a Magic team that has lost eight of their last 10, all without the services of injured center Nikola Vucevic (groin).
