It is widely believed that the winner of the Big Ten Championship will earn a playoff spot in the final College Football Playoff rankings. As of this writing, Iowa is currently ranked in the fourth and final spot with Michigan State being the first team out at number five.
This will be the fourth time College GameDay has been in attendance for a Michigan State game this season. The other three times were for games against Oregon, Michigan, and Ohio State. The good news for Michigan State? The Spartans are 3-0 this season with College GameDay in attendance.
The championship game is set for 8:17 PM EST from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN and will air on FOX. This is Michigan State’s third appearance in the Big Ten Championship in five years. Go Green!
