On Tuesday, news broke that former Major League Baseball pitcher Roy Halladay had passed away when his plane crashed off Florida’s Gulf Coast. With the news, social media exploded with messages remembering Halladay, who was only 40, for his accomplishments in baseball but more importantly, for the amazing person he was off the field.

But, there always has to be a jackass in the crowd and that was certainly the case as Boston sports radio host Michael Felger made some comments about Halladay that would make even the most insensitive person shake their head in disgust.

Felger, during his 12-minute rant, went as far as saying that Halladay, “got what he deserved” for flying dangerously.

“Wee, oh, woo, look I just landed on the water, everybody. I’m gonna tweet it. Splat. You’re dead, with two kids. Moron,” Felger said.

Felger also said, “I can’t relate to him. I don’t respect him, and to the point now where that guy’s the bad guy to me. You’ve got this family.”

On Thursday night, Detroit Tigers fanatic Chris Castellani, who has earned quite the following on Twitter for his emotional postgame videos, made a special video directed at Felger, in defense of Halladay.

To say that Castellani is pissed off would be an extreme understatement. In fact, at one point in the video, he spits on his keyboard in disgust for the trash that spewed out of Felger’s mouth.
