Lions Calvin Johnson replaced on Pro Bowl roster

According to reports, Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson will not play in the 2016 NFL Pro Bowl and has been replaced on the roster by Allen Robinson of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Johnson, of course, has been in the news after releasing a statement saying that he is weighing his options for the future. Since then, further details have emerged making it seem almost inevitable that the Lions receiver has indeed played in his final NFL game.

This is the seventh consecutive season that Johnson was selected to play in the NFL Pro Bowl, but will miss due to injury.

Robinson, who was born in Detroit and attended Orchard Lake St. Mary’s high school, had an outstanding 2015 season for the Jaguars, catching 80 balls for 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns.
