Lions sign veteran WR Andre Caldwell to 1-year deal

The Lions added more help to their receiving corps on Wednesday.

The draft is over and most of free agency has passed but that has not stopped Detroit Lions GM Bob Quinn from making moves to potentially improve the team. On Wednesday afternoon, the team reportedly inked veteran wideout Andre Caldwell to a one-year contract.

Caldwell, 31, spent the last four seasons playing for the Denver Broncos. In the 2015 season, Caldwell caught 10 passes for 72 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also caught a 22-yard pass from Peyton Manning is last year’s Super Bowl 50 victory.
