Keyworth Stadium is getting a few upgrades! The rapidly growing semi-pro soccer team Detroit City FC have reached another milestone.

After a successful public fundraising program, the team was able to exceed it’s $400,000 goal and begin renovations on their new home in Hamtramck.  More than 340 individuals have already reached out to the campaign and it is still open with a fundraising cap at $750,000.

The renovations will include revamping the old, rundown Keyworth Stadium in order to hold roughly 6,000 spectators of Detroit City FC home games. Restructuring the grand stands, fixing public facilities, and improving the lighting system of the stadium are key focus areas of this renovation.

Keyworth Stadium sits near I-75 off of Holbrook Avenue between Gallagher Avenue and Goodson Street.

Due to the goal achievement, construction on the revitalization plans will begin as soon as possible. Detroit City FC starts their season in May and hopes the renovations can be done in time to house an ever-growing Northern Guard and DCFC fan base.
