Peter King releases 10-pick NFL Mock Draft, Detroit Lions get a beast

The 2022 NFL Draft is right around the corner and there is plenty of debate as to what the Detroit Lions should do when they are on the clock with the No. 2 overall pick.

On Monday, Peter King released his latest Football Morning in America column and he included a mini 10-pick 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

According to King, the Jacksonville Jaguars will select EDGE Aidan Hutchinson with the No. 1 overall pick, leaving the Lions with a huge decision to make.

Do they go with a pass rusher? Or, maybe they be bold and take QB Malik Willis.

At this moment in time, King agrees with me that the Lions would select EDGE Travon Walker out of Georgia if Hutchinson is off the board.

2) Detroit Lions
Travon Walker, edge rusher, Georgia

Walker edges Kayvon Thibodeaux here (gee, I wonder if Thibodeaux will be ticked off), in part because of versatility. At 275, Walker will be a lightish 3-technique defensive tackle on occasion, but more likely a strong two-way defensive end with good run-stuffing ability. If it is Thibodeaux, then potential and pass-rush wins. If it’s Walker, it’s best all-around player/worker bee in the Dan Campbell mold.

Nation, would you be satisfied if the Lions selected Travon Walker with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft? If now, which direction would you like to see them go?
