The Detroit Pistons haven’t been healthy to start the 2019-20 NBA Season, and that isn’t going to change any time soon.
Following further evaluation and diagnostics performed by the Pistons medical team, guard Reggie Jackson has been determined to have a lower back stress reaction. He’ll be re-evaluated four weeks from now.

“He’s getting low-back tightness that is exacerbated with the activity,” Pistons medical director Bernard Condevaux said, via the Detroit News. “He can go a certain amount of distance and then it starts to flare up. Once it starts to spasm up, he’s not moving right.”
Jackson left Detroit’s home opener with what the team called “back tightness” and hasn’t played since. In the two games he’s played, he averaged 18 minutes with five points. The Pistons are already missing Blake Griffin, who is expected to return to the lineup soon after nursing a knee injury.
The Pistons host the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night.
