With Kerryon Johnson on the shelf until at least Week 16 with a knee injury, the Detroit Lions would be wise to do what they can to trade for a running back before Tuesday's deadline.

According to a tweet from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Lions (and Buffalo Bills) have been linked to Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon.
Some around league have linked Lions and Bills to Melvin Gordon. Both teams could be in the market for RB help, and Gordon would make sense if Chargers loosen asking price.

Gordon, who is still just 26 years old, held out for the first month of the 2019 season before coming back to the Chargers.
Since returning, Gordon has carried the ball 44 times for 112 yards (2.5 ypc) and has scored two total touchdowns.
Nation, would you like to see the Lions trade for Melvin Gordon?
