When he played high school football at Detroit Cass Tech High School, Mike Weber was one of the most coveted running backs in the nation.
The hopes, at least for Michigan fans, was that Weber would play for the Wolverines but he broke their hearts at the last minute by committing to Ohio State.
During his time with the Buckeyes, Weber rushed for 2,676 yards (5.9 ypc) 25 touchdowns (one was via a reception) in 38 games. Following his junior season, Weber was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
Now, according to Terry Foster (formerly of 97.1 The Ticket), Weber recently worked out for the Detroit Lions and has talked to them about returning home.
There could be a nice homecoming soon. Former Cass Tech running back Mike Weber is talking to the @Lions about returning home.

Nation, would you like to see the Lions bring Weber home? Do you think he could make the team? My guess is that he would be on the outside looking in.
