With the Ohio State Buckeyes being on top of the college football world for now, and the Michigan Wolverines making noise with new head coach Jim Harbaugh, the Michigan State Spartans were suddenly feeling left out of the mix for a while. That is no longer the case.
According to a report from Scout.com’s Bill Greene, the Spartans have landed not one, but two football recruits who have decommitted from the Kentucky Wildcats. Rated as 4-star recruits each, twins Andrew Dowell and David Dowell are expected to sign on to join Spartans head coach Mark Dantonio and his program in East Lansing as early as Wednesday.
Andrew Dowell is listed as a 6′, 200-lbs running back/defensive back dual threat, while his brother David is a 6′, 177-lbs corner back. Both of which will be valuable assets for Michigan State, as they lose the likes of RB Jeremy Langford, and two DBs, Kurtis Drummond and Trae Waynes to the upcoming NFL Draft.
