#3- Ezekiel Ansah
The 2013 NFL draft could quite possibly be Mayhew’s best draft so far. The Lions took somewhat of a risk on a defensive end who didn’t even play football until his sophomore year in college named Ezekiel Ansah. Drafted out of BYU and born in the African country of Ghana, he was drafted with the 5th pick of the first round. Ansah had an enormous upside. So far, the chance of taking him has paid off. In only two years in the league, Ansah has registered 15.5 sacks, 5 forced fumbles, and 82 tackles. “Ziggy” is looking good so far in only two years in Detroit. Mayhew must be very happy he took the chance on Ansah.
