Watch: Miguel Cabrera brings the rain with 3-run home run as Tigers beat Indians

The Detroit Tigers are in a position where every game left on their schedule is a virtual “must win” and Wednesday night’s game against the Cleveland Indians was no exception. With the game tied 3-3 in the bottom of the fifth inning, and rain in the forecast for the foreseeable future, Miguel Cabrera stepped to the plate for the Tigers with two runners on base and delivered in a big way.

Watch as Cabrera, who just missed a home run earlier in the game, hits an opposite field 3-run bomb to give the Tigers a 6-3 lead. Following the conclusion of the inning, the tarps were rolled out and the game was eventually called, giving the Tigers a much needed victory.

With the win, the Tigers still trail the Baltimore Orioles by 1 game for the final Wild Card spot in the American League. The Orioles rallied in the top of the ninth inning to beat the Toronto Blue Jays 3-2.
