The NHL Department of Player Safety announced that Jordan Nolan was being assessed a 2-game suspension for his hit on Darren Helm in their game on Friday night. Helm stayed in the game after the incident, but Nolan has been suspended before, so is considered a repeat offender.

Nolan is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $17,073.18. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
