That sweet, sweet ping of the post and in. That's all Darren Helm heard when he scored the Red Wings' first shorthanded goal of the season against the Buffalo Sabres on Tuesday night. (3-1 victory). Helm was on the PK and got away on a 2-on-1 with Joakim Andersson. His passing lane was taken away, so he opted to get in on Neuvirth and let off a snap shot top-corner and beat him cleanly off the post for the Red Wings' first goal of the night, first shorthanded goal of the season, and Helm's 8th goal of the year.
Bleeding whiskey and maple syrup, Nathan is an avid Red Wings fan who fills his lack of interest for other sports with even more hockey. Born and raised in Warren, MI, he's been in the thick of Red Wings culture since day one, and views the game from an analytical an objective standpoint. (@GetThePuckOut89)
