3-star Ohio prospect Darien Clemons commits to MSU

The Michigan State Spartans concluded their annual spring football game this past Saturday, with plenty of storylines developing throughout the day.

Also on Saturday, they received their seventh hard commit to the football program from the class of 2017, as 3-star outside linebacker Darien Clemons (Piqua, OH) committed to take his talents to East Lansing.

Clemons was on an unofficial visit to Michigan State on Saturday to see the spring game firsthand and the school offered him a scholarship to play for them in 2017. Three days later, he joined a gradually-growing class with talent across the board.

Clemons is the fifth 3-star prospect from the 2017 class for the Spartans. He’s listed as the 35th best player in the state of Ohio.

The 6-foot-1, 214-pound linebacker/running back received a plethora of offers, including Rutgers, Cincinnati, and a host of Mid-American Conference programs.
