Andre Drummond overtaken in NBA All-Star voting returns

On Thursday afternoon the NBA released their third returns of the NBA All-Star voting. Up to this point, Andre Drummond was slotted in as the third frontcourt player to start. But as of the most recent returns, that is no longer the case.

New York Knicks star forward Carmelo Anthony now holds a slim lead over the Detroit Pistons center for the final starting spot in the Eastern Conference frontcourt.

With the margin between Drummond and Anthony being so slim, it wouldn’t be a shock to see either player get in at this point. And while both will most likely be named All-Stars regardless, being voted in as a starter removes all doubt behind a player’s selection.

All-Star voting officially comes to a conclusion on Monday, January 18. You can vote by heading to, or you can use the #NBAVOTE in a social media post with your favorite player’s name, as shown below.
