Without question, the peak year for now former Tigers ace Justin Verlander was his 2011 campaign when he took home both the American League Cy Young and MVP honors. Verlander accomplished what is known as the pitching ‘Triple Crown’ in baseball, he led the league in wins (24), strikeouts (251), and ERA (2.40) that season.
