Jim Harbaugh jokes about investigating Wisconsin for having too much practice time

On Saturday, Jim Harbaugh and No. 4 Michigan will have their first true test of the season when they host undefeated and No. 8 ranked Wisconsin.

Harbaugh joined the “Jamie and Stoney Show” Thursday morning on 97.1 The Ticket and had nothing but good things to say about the Wisconsin football team.

“We’ve been watching Wisconsin on tape, and as a coach, it’s like, ‘Man, these guys are good,’ ” Harbaugh said.” “This is a good football team we’re playing. We realize this.”

In fact, Harbaugh believes Wisconsin is so good that he even joked about how the Badgers must be practicing more than they are supposed to.

“I’d like to see an investigation into the Wisconsin team to see if they’re complying with the 20-hour rule,” Harbaugh said. “They are really good. They are well-coached. It almost looks like they’re spending a lot of time at it. A tip of the cap there. They’ve got a heck of a football team. They’ve done a great job over there. They’re going to be darn tough to beat. We understand that. If we play at our best, we’ll be darn tough to beat, too. It will be a real good football game.”

Of course, Harbaugh was just kidding around about the investigation, but by the sound of it, he thinks his Wolverines will have to be on top of their game if they want to come away with a win on Saturday.

Last Saturday, Wisconsin went into East Lansing and made the defending Big 10 Champion Spartans look like a powder puff team, so if that is any indication, Harbaugh is right, Wisconsin is the real deal.
