We need to end this debate right now. Family Feud is the best game show on television. Not only is Steve Harvey a fantastic host, but combining two of America’s favorite past times, game shows and NFL football, is excess in its greatest form.
To make matters better, the Lions will be represented. Newly acquired wide receiver Marvin Jones will be able to show Lions fans how he performs against the NFL’s best defenders in high pressure situations on ABC’s “Celebrity Family Feud”.
Jones will be on the “NFC Offense” team and will be playing for the Professional Athlete’s Foundation charity.
A full breakdown of the teams and charities:
- AFC Defense — playing for Still Strong Foundation (aka Michael’s Way)o AJ Hawk — Cincinnati Bengals linebacker
o Tamba Hali — Kansas City Chiefs defensive end
o Malcolm Smith — Oakland Raiders linebacker
o Von Miller — Denver Broncos linebacker
o Melvin Ingram — San Diego Chargers linebacker
- NFC Offense – playing for Professional Athletes Foundationo Joe Staley — San Francisco 49ers offensive lineman
o Teddy Bridgewater — Minnesota Vikings quarterback
o David Johnson — Arizona Cardinals running back
o Marvin Jones — Detroit Lions wide receiver
o Pierre Garcon — Washington Redskins wide receiver
There is no released set date for this particular episode of “Celebrity Family Feud”, but the show starts June 26.
Jones, a University of California-Berkeley graduate, should be able to hold his own among his NFL peers. However, if he were to slip up and give us an Internet-ruling Steve Harvey befuddled face, that would be the undisputed highlight of the off-season.
