A frightening scene unfolded Friday night during the Detroit Lions’ preseason matchup against the Atlanta Falcons when defensive back Morice Norris went down after a violent collision. Witnesses say Norris’s head snapped back in an ugly way on the tackle, prompting an immediate stoppage in play.
According to Justin Rogers of the Detroit Football Network, medical staff rushed to Norris’s side before he was loaded onto a stretcher.

Ben Raven of MLive reported that the backboard and cart were brought out right away, underscoring the seriousness of the injury.

The stadium fell silent as teammates gathered around Norris, offering support while trainers worked. No official update on his condition has been released, but the Lions will be monitoring their young defensive back closely in the coming hours.
Further details will be provided as they become available.
