Smith excelled in a starting role for the Sixers last year averaging nearly 15 points a game, seven assists, and four rebounds. Smith is only about a 33% shooter from downtown so the team will likely look to add more shooting before the free agency frenzy is all said and done, but for now they may have upgraded their biggest need to their biggest strength.
Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports on Twitter that the deal is worth $18 million over three years.
