TBT: Fedorov goes between the legs to set up Kozlov in WC Semis vs. Sharks

The Russian Five in Hockeytown were truly a sight to behold on the ice. Today, we throw it back to this day in 1995. It’s Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Red Wings and San Jose Sharks.

Already with a 1-0 lead, Detroit continues to apply the pressure. Sergei Fedorov brings it up ice to set up Slava Kozlov with a crazy no-look, between-the-legs pass before Kozlov hammers it home for the goal.

Detroit went on to win Game 3 by a score of 6-2, sweeping the series over San Jose and scoring six goals in every game. The Wings cruised to a 12-2 record through the Western Conference portion of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Unfortunately, they went on to get swept in the Cup Final against the New Jersey Devils that season.
