The Detroit Red Wings exposed another forward to the waiver wire, and again they were promptly snatched up. Earlier this week it was Martin Frk being claimed by the Carolina Hurricanes. Now, Teemu Pulkkinen has been claimed by the Minnesota Wild.

Detroit exposed Pulkkinen to waivers due to their overabundance at the forward position with the intention of keeping Anthony Mantha or Andreas Athanasiou on the opening night roster.
He was drafted in the fourth round (11th overall) by the Red Wings in the 2010 NHL Draft. In 70 NHL games, he has 11 goals and 20 points.
Ironically, he’s joining the team he scored his first NHL goal against.
