The Philadelphia Eagles have released former Hesiman Trophy winner and University of Florida standout, Tim Tebow. Tebow was having a great preseason with 286 passing yards and two TD’s and only one INT. He also rushed for 82 yards on 14 carries scoring a TD.

It looked like Tebow was going to make the team after the Eagles traded quarterback Matt Barkley to bring the eagles quarterback number down to three.
That must not have been the case. As for now Tebow may have to return to broadcasting, unless somebody decides they want to sign him, which unfortunately seems unlikely at this point.
The Eagles were Tebow’s fourth team since being drafted in 2010 by the Denver Broncos.
