On Wednesday night, New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks did something that nobody has done before. (Well at least not that has been recorded)
Watch as Danny Valencia of the Oakland Athletics tries to score on what would have been a sacrifice fly were it not for Hicks cannon in left field. Hicks makes the catch an then fires the ball 105.5 mph towards home plate to gun down Valencia.
The 105.5 mph throw is the fastest outfield throw ever recorded.
Going where no throw has gone before (in the #Statcast era).
