VIDEO: Anthony Mantha scores first goal at Little Caesars Arena

It was a historic night at Little Caesars Arena, as the Detroit Red Wings played their first regular season home game in a different venue from Joe Louis Arena since Jimmy Carter was in the White House.

Forward Anthony Mantha scored the first ever goal in the new building, a power-play tally that took place late in the 2nd period to give Detroit the lead. He parked himself in front of the net and picked up the rebound of Martin Frk’s blast, and beat Minnesota Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk for the historic tally.
