Fantasy Football: Top 5 Add/Drops after Week 2

For anybody who took DSN’s Fantasy Football advice last week, good on you. DSN’s ‘Must Add” players Pierre Garcon, Tyler Eifert and James Jones each had at least one touchdown, while “Must Drop” players Devin Funchess and Darren McFadden were both held scoreless for the second straight week.

After Week 2 of the NFL season, even more is known in terms of player roles, and we have a new handful of injuries to take into account.

The waiver wire is what wins you Fantasy Football championships, so check out DSN’s Top 5 Add/Drops heading into Week 3 to find out who can take your team to the next level.

1. Add Dion Lewis

Dion Lewis

Usually the rule is to not trust running backs on the New England Patriots, but Lewis is a special case. Just two weeks into the season, the 4-year veteran out of Pittsburgh is lighting up the stat sheet for New England and Fantasy owners alike. Lewis is the 5th highest scoring RB in ESPN standard leagues, but that’s not to say he is not valuable in PPR (points per reception) leagues. In fact, he’s even MORE valuable in a PPR league as Lewis has gathered 10 receptions over his first two games out of the backfield. Lewis is only owned in 40% of ESPN Fantasy leagues, but that’s sure to rise after another stellar performance last week. Even with LaGarette Blount returning to the field in Week 2, Lewis still managed 13 touches on offense, putting up 138 total yards and 1 TD. And to make his addition even more appealing, the Patriots play the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3.
